Immersive Environment - Unity - Maya - Substance Painter - Speedtree

I created this immersive environment while learning the basics of Unity development. The result was an immersive, walkable space where you could explore an abandoned city ruined by an apocalyptic event. I have always loved post apocalyptic environments, and this was the first time being able to actually walk through an environment I created.
Modeling and designing the space came with the unique challenge of sightlines and player navigation. I learned techniques to hide specific areas using believable elements such the crashed bus and quarantine gate. The environment itself features no intense narrative, but rather focuses on creating the feeling of abandonment and decades of extinction.
